In my opinion, there is nothing better for dinner than a grilled steak with a baked potato (I’m salivating just thinking about it). Being from the Midwest, I know a thing or two about a good piece of meat; living on the East Coast, I realize a good steak is harder to come by than I originally knew. If you have a GREAT quality/cut of meat little seasoning is needed; otherwise, a good marinade is essential to flavor. I have probably marinated steak more ways than most people thought possible, and THIS is one of my favorites. This recipe is super versatile, you can change the ingredients/quantities to fit your taste; however, I find it to be quite perfect how it is (with the exception of a little extra garlic, which my mom taught me makes everything better). **Tip** To keep your steak tender allow it to rest at room temperature for about an hour before grilling; if you put cold meat on a hot grill it will cause the meat to cease up and become tough. Also, allow the steak to rest for about 5 minutes after it is done cooking, this allows the flavors of the juice in the steak to develop (I know it’s tempting to cut right in, but trust me on this one).
